MAN Engine Range for Commercial Shipping
MAN offers a wide range of high-speed four stroke Diesel engines for use in Commercial Shipping.
When it comes to the safety and lives of people at sea, what one wants from an engine are reliability and consistent performance. Marine engines from MAN Engines set the benchmark with their excellent power/weight ratio. They are also consistent and optimally designed for the respective application and operating conditions.
Heavy operation
unlimited operating hours & 100% full load)
Application: For Tugboats and other working Ships,
Output Range: From 147 kW to 735 kW (200 HP up to 1,000 HP).
Medium-heavy operation
up to 4,000 hours per year at 50% full load
Application: For Ferries, Passenger Ships and Fishing Boats.
Output Range: From 412kW to 1,066 kW (560 HP to 1,450 HP).
Light operation
up to 1,000 hours per year at 20% full load
Application: For Escort, Ambulance and Police Boats.
Output Range: from 537 kW to 1,397 kW (730 HP to 1,900 HP)
